Bible Reading: 2 Samuel 22:29-23 (KJV)
29For thou art my lamp, O LORD: and the LORD will lighten my darkness.
30For by thee I have run through a troop: by my God have I leaped over a wall.
31As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.
32For who is God, save the LORD? and who is a rock, save our God?
33God is my strength and power: and he maketh my way perfect.

Message
The Lord God is trustworthy. This is a special quality of God. All His creatures depend on Him. The grasses, plants and crops receive His rain in due season. The numerous creatures in the seas and land, including all mankind, depend on the same God for their daily needs. The air, all living things breathe to stay alive, never runs short in supply. For thousands of years, since God created the world, the sun has never lost its brightness nor shifted its position.
The Creator of heaven and earth is truly worthy of our trust. The Psalmist gives us three reasons among so many why he trusts God: 1. His ways are perfect. That means whatever He says or does is good and faultless. 2. His word is tried. That means His words have been proved and found to be true and reliable 3. He is a Buckler to them that trust in Him. Those who trust in God have found Him to be a true Hiding place and a Shelter in the time of trouble.
You must put your trust in God, He will provide your needs, preserve you from danger, deliver you from temptations and lead you in the path of righteousness. Obey and do everything to please God daily.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, teach me to depend on You, my loving and trustworthy God.

4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
