32For I have no pleasure in the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord GOD: wherefore turn yourselves, and live ye.
KEY VERSE: “… Repent, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.” Ezekiel 18:30b
Message
Benny’s father bought a new power generator for home use. He warned Benny not to attempt to start the generator when he is not at home. One day, together with his two sisters, Benny went to start the generator. In the process, Benny’s middle finger of the left hand got trapped between the belt and the pulley of the generator. In the struggle to free the finger, it was cut off from the hand. Benny, in pain was bleeding profusely. They had to rush him to the hospital. Benny suffered for his disobedience. There are actions that destroy and those that bring blessings.
Disobedience; evil doings, ungodly conducts or sins are given two names in our key verse: transgressions and iniquity. The children of Israel were unjust and unfair to one another particular to the widows, the fatherless and the weak. Beside these, Israel went beyond to disobey the set laws of God, they worshipped idols and filled the land with evil. They rejected the laws of God and prepared themselves for destruction or ruin. Some children tell lies against one another, look down on others who are disabled, some bully the weak ones. They disobey the rules and regulations at home, school and even in the Church.
You must not join the group of evil doers and ungodly children so that your wicked actions will not be your ruin. There is always a reward and blessing for those children who turned away from evil and repent of their evil doings. Repent now and you will be free from God’s judgment
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, give me the grace to turn away from all evils so my sins do not bring Your punishment on me.

Proverbs 28: 13,14
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
