DCLM Sincere Milk 2 September 2026 — Test For The Will Of God
DCLM Sincere Milk 2 September 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Test For The Will Of God
Topic: Test For The Will Of God
Bible Reading: Romans 12:1-3(KJV)
1I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service.
3For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
KEY VERSE: “… that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2b
Message
Good doctors are never in a rush to treat their patients. The patient may be groaning in pains, yet they will first run tests upon tests to find out what the real problem is.
They do this to avoid mistakes in treatment. Children of God need to run test to know what the will of God is before they act. Is it good? Is it acceptable? Is it perfect? If it passes the three-stage test then it is the will of God.
Your actions and decisions must always pass these three tests before your life can please God. Don’t be in a hurry to guess, speak or act; first wait and run the test to confirm if what you want to do is the will of God.
What you want to do with your body, think in your heart, say with your mouth, watch with your eyes, listen to with your ears, do with your hands and the place you want to go to with your feet; are they holy, acceptable, pleasing and perfect before God? Any of your thoughts and actions that fails the test of God’s will, should be rejected because it is not acceptable to God. That is the only way to please God.
Apply the test of God’s will to anything you will do today at home, school, on the playground and also in the Church. Remember to always pause and carry out the test on every one of your activities. If it fails, it is sinful. If it passes, go ahead and do it; it is godly and God will bless you in return.
I pray for the grace and patience to ask for Your will in all my thoughts and actions.

Psalm 143:10-12
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
