Open Heaven 29 October 2026 TOPIC – Have Faith In God
MEMORISE: Now the just shall live by faith: but if any man draw back, my soul shall have no pleasure in him. – Hebrews 10:38 (KJV)
READ: Mark 11:20-24 (KJV)
20 And in the morning, as they passed by, they saw the fig tree dried up from the roots.
21 And Peter calling to remembrance saith unto him, Master, behold, the fig tree which thou cursedst is withered away.
22 And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God.
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
BIBLE IN ONE YEAR: Luke 19-20
Open Heaven 29 October 2026 MESSAGE
Having faith in God means trusting in Him, even in seemingly hopeless situations. When believers truly understand who God is, they will diligently seek Him and put all their faith in Him. In turn, God will never let them down. Hebrews 11:6 says, “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.”
Faith in God comes from truly knowing Him. Daniel 11:32 says that those who know their God will be strong and do exploits. Beloved, how well do you know God? Do you trust Him enough to do exactly what He tells you to do, whether it makes sense or not? In 1 Kings 18:21, Elijah told the people, “If the Lord is God, serve Him. If Baal is God, serve him.” If you are trusting God for a miracle, then you must believe that He is the Almighty God who can do even more than what you have asked of Him (Ephesians 3:20).

The Bible says that the just shall live by faith (Habakkuk 2:4, Romans 1:17). James 1:6-7 also says that you should not even expect to receive anything from God if you go to Him with doubts. When I became General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, the church kept growing to the point that our headquarters in Ebute Metta became too small for us. I got some of the church elders together, and we fasted and prayed for days. At the end of the prayers, God spoke: “Now that you’ve cried to Me for a campground, I will show you where it is.” Then, He showed us a jungle, which was the headquarters of highway robbers and all manner of dangerous animals. I thought to myself, “How can God choose this place of all places?” However, I went ahead with what He said because I have faith in Him. Today, that jungle has become a city.
When God says that all is well, you can be sure that all will be well. In Matthew 9:27-30, Jesus asked two blind men who were looking up at Him for a miracle if they believed He could heal them, and they replied, “Yes.” Jesus responded, “Be it unto you according to your faith,” and they were healed. Beloved, put your faith in God, and He will give you miracles that are far beyond your expectations.
Open Heaven 29 October 2026 REFLECTION
Do you believe God enough to do what He says, whether it makes sense or not?
Open Heaven 29 October 2026 HYMN 21 – My Hope Is Built On Nothing Less
1 My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.
Chorus:
On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
All other ground is sinking sand.
2 When darkness seems to veils His face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3 His oath, His covenant, and blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4 When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
Dressed in His righteousness alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.
Open Heavens 2026 Daily Devotional guide was written by Pastor E.A. Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, one of the largest evangelical church in the world and also the President of Christ the Redeemer’s Ministries.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
