KEY VERSE: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22,23
Message
Fruits are good and desirable especially the ones that are sweet and juicy. In agriculture, we have two groups of fruits. The edible fruits and the inedible fruits.
The inedible fruits are useless and would always be thrown away because they can damage the system if we eat them. On the other hand, the edible fruits provide nutrients that help the body to grow well. It is the same in the spiritual, we have two groups of fruit namely the Fruits (works) of the flesh and the Fruit of the spirit.
The fruits of the flesh which are mainly sinful habits pollute and damage the soul. You must reject all the works of the flesh and put on the fruit of the spirit through faith in the blood of Jesus.
When you repent and turn away from sin, your life will be renewed through cleansing by the blood of Jesus. Then your life will start to bring forth fruit of the spirit as shown in our Bible passage. Love – Joy – Peace – Longsuffering – Gentleness – Goodness – Faith – Meekness – Temperance. They are nine items but one root binding them together. All of these virtues must be present in you. Your life will not remain the same.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Lord, please purge me and plant in me the fruit of the spirit.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
