DCLM Higher Everyday  30 October 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Uncountable Number In Heaven

Topic: Uncountable Number In Heaven

Bible Reading: Revelation 7:9-17 (KJV)

9After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands;

10And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb.

11And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God,

12Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

13And one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they?

14And I said unto him, Sir, thou knowest. And he said to me, These are they which came out of great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

15Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night in his temple: and he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell among them.

16They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat.

17For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

KEY VERSE: “After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands” (Revelation 7:9).

Massage

One day, David attended a large Christian concert. As he looked around, he saw thousands of people lifting their hands in worship. It reminded him of what heaven must look like: countless people from every nation worshipping God. A question struck him: “Will I be there?” The Bible tells us about a significant number of people in heaven, clothed in white robes, worshipping God.

They believed in Jesus, lived holy lives, and remained faithful. Heaven is real, but only those who have repented of their sins and accepted Jesus as their Lord will be part of that great crowd over there. Many people live as if this world is all that matters, forgetting that eternity is ahead. The real question is, when that significant number is gathered in heaven, will you be among them? The promise of God to those who remain faithful stands sure forever: “They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. …and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes” (Revelation 7:16-17).

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, help me to prepare for heaven in Jesus’ name.

CHALLENGE

Be prepared for heaven.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
