TOPIC: AGE IS NO BARRIER
BIBLE TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 3:1-10
2And it came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see;
3And ere the lamp of God went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel was laid down to sleep;
4That the LORD called Samuel: and he answered, Here am I.
5And he ran unto Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou calledst me. And he said, I called not; lie down again. And he went and lay down.
6And the LORD called yet again, Samuel. And Samuel arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And he answered, I called not, my son; lie down again.
7Now Samuel did not yet know the LORD, neither was the word of the LORD yet revealed unto him.
8And the LORD called Samuel again the third time. And he arose and went to Eli, and said, Here am I; for thou didst call me. And Eli perceived that the LORD had called the child.
9Therefore Eli said unto Samuel, Go, lie down: and it shall be, if he call thee, that thou shalt say, Speak, LORD; for thy servant heareth. So Samuel went and lay down in his place.
10And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.
KEY VERSE: “And the LORD came, and stood, and called as at other times, Samuel, Samuel. Then Samuel answered, Speak; for thy servant heareth.” 1 Samuel 3:10
MESSAGE:
Samuel was still a child when God called him. How old are you? The fact that someone is young does not disqualify him from being used of God. The life you live matters a lot to God and that is what determines how far you can go with Him. Samuel was still at a tender age, taking instructions from Eli when God called him.
It is very important for a person to begin and lay the foundation of his life on God’s word at an early age. God is the Creator of all boys and girls. His desire is for all children to come to Him “for of such is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14) To begin with God, you need to surrender your life to Jesus Christ, confessing your sins and forsaking them. Live a life of righteousness because God cannot use a vessel that is unclean. Do not give in to comments that you are too young to be a useful vessel in God’s hands.
Preach to sinners, pray for the sick, make a difference and brighten the corner where you are. God will do wonders through you if you let Him.
PRAYER: Use me for your glory oh Lord!

Jeremiah 1:4-7
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
