TOPIC: A DAILY LIFE OF PRAYER

TEXT: PSALM 145:17-20

17The LORD is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.

18The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.

19He will fulfil the desire of them that fear him: he also will hear their cry, and will save them.

20The LORD preserveth all them that love him: but all the wicked will he destroy.

Key Verse: “The LORD is nigh unto all them that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth” (Psalm 145:18).

MESSAGE:
Grace was Mrs. Spencer’s daughter, and they were also friends. Grace usually spent time talking to her mom, and the relationship between them grew better each day. Grace learnt many things from her mom and got corrected when necessary. Her needs were usually provided for, even before Grace remembered to ask her mom.

God desires that His friends spend time to talk to Him in prayers every day. He does not want us to talk to Him only when there are problems, but to talk to Him about everything going on in our lives. A daily life of prayer provides us with a great opportunity to talk with God and build a relationship with Him.

Prayer is so important that Jesus, who is our perfect example, prayed while on earth and also taught His friends how to pray. It is through prayer that we have access to the provisions of God. Salvation and forgiveness come to sinners who repent and ask for it. Pure heart comes to friends of Jesus who request for it.

God still gives wisdom to those that ask him. Grace to obey God, success in life, God’s help, and many more blessings, are available to those who choose to pray to God everyday.

Prayer: Dear Father, please help me to always spend time in prayer to You every day.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
