DCLM Sincere Milk 18 November 2022 — A life of praise

DCLM Sincere Milk 18 November 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — A life of praise

TOPIC: A LIFE OF PRAISE

TEXT: HEBREWS 13:12-16

12Wherefore Jesus also, that he might sanctify the people with his own blood, suffered without the gate.

13Let us go forth therefore unto him without the camp, bearing his reproach.

14For here have we no continuing city, but we seek one to come.

15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.

16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

Key Verse: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name” (Hebrews 13:15).

MESSAGE:

Many children forget to daily praise God and thank Him for His love and goodness, until they are reminded. Though, they remember to thank their parents for buying things for them, they forget to give thanks to God, the owner of life and everything.

Some children remember to give praise to God only when they are in church. This is wrong, thanksgiving and praise should be part of our lives. Praise and thanksgiving to God should be something we do every day. It must be done as many times as possible and not only when we feel like.

God appreciates and accepts praises from those who have repented of their sins and are living lives that please Him. Make up your mind today to be one of the people who lives a life of praise, those who honour God with their mouths, and lives that glorify Him.

The enemies of Judah were destroyed by God when Jehoshaphat and all Judah praised God. Paul and Silas experienced the power of God when they prayed and praised God. Join other friends of Jesus to praise God together, and experience the power of God.

Prayer: Dear holy Father, help me to always praise You and live a life that brings glory to You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
