Topic: A Witness For Christ
Text: Acts 1:4-8
4And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
6When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Key Verse: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8
Message
In a law court, a witness is someone who tells what he or she knows about a situation or an event, sharing his/her personal experience to help others understand the truth. Similarly, a witness for Christ is someone who shares his or her personal story about Jesus and the difference He has made in his or her life.

Every believer is called to be a witness for Christ. This means telling others about the love, forgiveness, and salvation he or she has received through Jesus. You do not have to know everything, but your story matters. When you share what God has done for you, it helps others learn about His love and truth.
As you share what Jesus has done for you, you invite others to experience His love too. And as you do, the Lord will be happy with you and bless you abundantly. Always remember that you are a witness for Jesus.

Prayer for today: Lord, give me courage to be Your witness, sharing Your love and truth with everyone I meet.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
