DCLM Sincere Milk  21 March 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — All round deliverance

TOPIC: AII-ROUND DELIVERANCE

TEXT – PSALMS 116:6-10

6The LORD preserveth the simple: I was brought low, and he helped me.

7Return unto thy rest, O my soul; for the LORD hath dealt bountifully with thee.

8For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

9I will walk before the LORD in the land of the living.

10I believed, therefore have I spoken: I was greatly afflicted:

KEY VERSE: “For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.” (PSALMS
116:8)

MESSAGE:

A person dies when his soul is separated from his body. He cries when his eyes are dripping with tears, because of pain, sorrow, and hopeless condition.

A person also falls when he can no more stand erect on his feet or when he can no longer accept or support what is godly and righteous. These three conditions are the worst situations a person can find himself.

The Psalmist found himself in these conditions seeing that his enemies were many and strong. They planned to destroy him completely. Then he acknowledged God as the only One Who could help him out of
the snares of the wicked, the One who can give rest to his soul and deal bountifully with him.

Through God’s mercy, the Psalmist was eventually delivered and he sang praises unto God. God is still answering prayers and setting the oppressed free. Whatever you may be passing through now, be it oppression from the wicked, failure, sickness, lack, or fear of the unknown. Do not be troubled, cry unto God and He will deliver and set you free. What you will get will be a multiple-fold deliverance and blessings.

PRAYER FOR TODAYS: Lord, please deliver me from all troubles and fear and make me free.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
