24My love be with you all in Christ Jesus. Amen. (The first epistle to the Corinthians was written from Philippi by Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus and Timotheus.)
Key Verse: “If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha.” 1 Corinthians 16:22
Message
Anathema is a Greek word meaning “accursed” or someone who dislikes or is against the truth, while Maranatha means “Come Lord Jesus”. Therefore, the meaning of Anathema Maranatha in our key verse reveals that anyone who loves not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him/her be accursed when Christ returns.
Paul the Apostle was telling the Corinthian believers that there will be a curse on the last day for anyone who dislikes the truth or is disobedient to Christ and the word of God. No boy or girl should be cursed by God because of disobedience. If you continue in disobedience and rebellion and refuse to heed the warning of God coming every day through your pastors, parents, teachers, and the Holy Spirit, the judgment of God will come upon you.
Do not wait for the judgment of God before you repent because the trumpet of God can sound at any time and if you are not prepared, punishment awaits you in hellfire.
Why not repent today so that you will not be among those that will face the judgment of God on the last day?

Prayer for today: Lord, I don’t want to be accursed on the last day, I repent and surrender my life to You.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
