TOPIC: ANCIENT OF DAYS
TEXT: DANIEL 7:9-14
9 I beheld till the thrones were cast down, and the Ancient of days did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the hair of his head like the pure wool: his throne was like the fiery flame, and his wheels as burning fire.
10 A fiery stream issued and came forth from before him: thousand thousands ministered unto him, and ten thousand times ten thousand stood before him: the judgment was set, and the books were opened.
12 As concerning the rest of the beasts, they had their dominion taken away: yet their lives were prolonged for a season and time.
13 I saw in the night visions, and, behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and came to the Ancient of days, and they brought him near before him.
14 And there was given him dominion, and glory, and a kingdom, that all people, nations, and languages, should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

MESSAGE
The phrase “ancient” occurs three times in the Bible, in the book of Daniel Chapter 7 verses 9, 13 and 22. This chapter relates a dream and a vision that Daniel received to show that there would be four powerful human kingdoms before the kingdom of God will finally take over everything.
“Ancient of Days” is used to describe the Everlasting God. It literally means “One advanced in days”, and it may possibly mean “One who forwards time or rules over it.”
Ancient of Days suggest age, dignity, endurance, judgment and wisdom. God is the One that posseses these qualities. He is the One who has existed before time began, and will continue to exist when time shall be no more.
God is eternal, and He reigns over heaven and earth, everything above and beneath the earth. He is ageless and cannot be measured in might, action and everything.
When Daniel saw the awesome vision of the Ancient of Days, he fell down and there was no strength remaining in him. *No human can have an encounter with Jesus, the Ancient of Days, and remain the same.
Therefore, sinners must bow before Him in sincere repentance, so as to receive forgiveness and pardon for their sins. This is the only way they can escape the judgment that will soon come upon the world. The time is short, do not waste this opportunity.
Prayer: Ancient of Days, I surrender my life to You. I worship and adore You.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)

3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
