DCLM Sincere Milk 17 December 2022 — Beware of wolves
DCLM Sincere Milk 17 December 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Beware of wolves
TOPIC: BEWARE OF WOLVES
TEXT: MATTHEW 7:13-20
14Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
15Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.
16Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles?
17Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit.
18A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.
19Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.
20Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.
Key Verse: “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves” (Matthew 7:15).
MESSAGE:
The Eskimos have an interesting way of killing wolves. They take a sharp knife, dip it in seal-fat, and plant it blade-up in the snow. A hungry wolf will smell the seal-fat, which it loves, find the knife and begin to lick it.
As soon as it licks it, the wolf tastes blood – its own blood. Because it loves the taste of blood, it licks more and more until it finally kills itself. What it thought at first to be a good provision to satisfy its hunger for blood, was actually the one that killed it.

Feeding on worldly things and its sinful pleasure, is like that of the wolf and the seal knife. At first it tastes good, but its really destroying.
There are many wolves in the world today who put on sheep’s clothing. These are dangerous contents packaged with beautiful materials to make them look attractive to innocent and careless children.
Such attractions include – pornographic materials, immoral films, false prophets/teachers, foods and drinks prepared with hard drugs, parties, bad and dangerous games, etc. They may look harmless, but they are very dangerous to your spiritual well-being.
The warning from the Lord is that we should beware of wolves in sheep’s clothing. Run away from every appearance of “wolves”. God will keep you.
Prayer: Lord, please preserve me from every wolf that comes in sheep’s clothing.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
