Message

“The reading of a good biography forms an important part of a Christian’s education. It provides him with numberless illustrations for use in his own service,” says Ransom W. Cooper. Genealogy is a historical record of family descendants. By it, we discover that David was a descendant of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.

Jesus also came to earth in David’s lineage. It is advisable that you know the biography of your parents and your church leaders.
Enoch was a true prophet in flesh and blood. He lived in the evil days when people had a lifespan of centuries without any record of walking with God. Enoch was taken by God at a relatively tender age of 365 years while his father, Jared, still had 435 more years to live.

Enoch was the father of Methuselah, the oldest man that ever lived on Earth. Enoch served God so much that God took him off the earth. He went as a model for the rapture. To go with saints at the rapture, you must be born again, obey God and walk in all his ways like Enoch.

Quote: Enoch served God so much

Challenge: Will your biography include the possibility of making heaven?

Prayer for today: Lord, may I be counted among the righteous like Enoch.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
