DCLM Sincere Milk 11 February 2023 — Can you run from God?
DCLM Sincere Milk 11 February 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Can you run from God?
TOPIC: CAN YOU RUN AWAY FROM GOD?
TEXT: PSALM 139:7-13.
7Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence?
8If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there.
9If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea;
10Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me.
11If I say, Surely the darkness shall cover me; even the night shall be light about me.
12Yea, the darkness hideth not from thee; but the night shineth as the day: the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.
13For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother’s womb.
MEMORY VERSE: “Whither shall I go from thy spirit? Or whither shall I flee from thy presence?” (PSALM 139:7)
MESSAGE:
When Adam and Eve disobeyed God in the Garden of Eden, they discovered that they were naked. They probably thought God would not know that they had become naked. They therefore devised a way to hide from God in the midst of the trees in the garden. They forgot that God is their Creator and no one can hide from Him.
Our topic for devotion today is a question that individual needs to answer. God is Omniscient – The All-knowing, Omnipotent – All powerful and Omnipresent – Present everywhere. So, nobody can run away from Him.
God knows all our inward thoughts, motives, desires and fears, as well as our outward habits and actions. He knows all we do from the beginning of the day to its end. In everything we do, He encircles us with His care and lays His hand of favour upon our heads. Be open before God, tell Him all your fears, concern, desires, failure and inadequacies. He will help you.

PRAYER FOR TODAY: God, I open up unto You, search me and know my thoughts today.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
