DCLM Sincere Milk 12 March 2025 — Christians – Walk Carefully
DCLM Sincere Milk 12 March 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Christians – Walk Carefully
Topic: Christians – Walk Carefully
Text: Ephesians 5:15-17
Key Verse: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise,” Ephesians 5:15
Message
A boat rider knows that it is essential to have a means of steering and the source of power because of their importance.
A boat rider cruising off the coast must not lose focus neither must he lose the ability to steer well. Losing the ability to steer will lead to serious danger as he will be at the mercy of the wind and the currents. These two necessities become even more essential if the sailor is travelling through dangerous seas. He would also need an accurate navigational chart and a means of determining his own location, so that he can know exactly where the obstacles are and can avoid them. Without these, disaster is almost certain.
The Christian life is much the same. A Christian must walk carefully, act carefully and behave carefully as the Devil’s job is to steal, to kill and to destroy; He is always in the business of setting traps so you can fall into them. There are dangerous rocks and obstacles that can cause Christians to go astray. To walk safely through, you must be very careful. You must pay close attention to the word of God as you daily study your Bible and give all attention to prayer. This is the way to have and enjoy victory.

Prayer for today: I pray for grace to watch and pray always.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
