19 After a long time the lord of those servants cometh, and reckoneth with them.
20 And so he that had received five talents came and brought other five talents, saying, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me five talents: behold, I have gained beside them five talents more.
21 His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
22 He also that had received two talents came and said, Lord, thou deliveredst unto me two talents: behold, I have gained two other talents beside them.
23 His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
📖MEMORY VERSE: “His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord” (MATTHEW 25:21).
A farmer called two of his children to go and harvest maize on his farm without declaring his intention to either of them. They were to work separately. The elder one murmured and complained. He relaxed and left the harvesting field.
However, unperturbed by the action of his elder brother, the younger one continued tirelessly and relentlessly. On arrival, the father, accompanied by a buyer, sold the quantities each of them harvested and handed over the money to them. The elder one bowed down his head in shame while the younger one went home rejoicing.
All resources the Lord gave us are for the advancement of His kingdom. Our natural endowments are not for self aggrandisement, but to glorify God. The Lord commended the two servants in our text for making 100℅ profit each.
The Lord is coming to reward His servants. Let us labour for the Master with all our strength, and be faithful in whatever He has entrusted to us lest we be ashamed at His coming.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
