DCLM Daily Manna 11 November 2021 — Justice Of God

DCLM Daily Manna 11 November 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Justice Of God

TOPIC: Justice Of God (DCLM Daily Manna 11 November 2021)

TEXT: Psalm 76:1-12

1 In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel.

2 In Salem also is his tabernacle, and his dwelling place in Zion.

3 There brake he the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the battle. Selah.

4 Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

5 The stouthearted are spoiled, they have slept their sleep: and none of the men of might have found their hands.

6 At thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

7 Thou, even thou, art to be feared: and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

8 Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still,

9 When God arose to judgment, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

10 Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

11 Vow, and pay unto the Lord your God: let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

12 He shall cut off the spirit of princes: he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

KEY VERSE: “Thou didst cause judgment to be heard from heaven; the earth feared, and was still.” – (Psalm 76:8)

MESSAGE:

When a military dictator died in office some years ago, some people reportedly danced and jubilated on the streets. Many of them had gloomily assumed that he would be around for another decade making their lives a complete misery. But, suddenly, the dictator was gone. Yet, it is unseemly and uncomely to rejoice when any man dies; but who can question the justice of God?

The psalmist in our text spoke about the reach and spread of God’s power and authority. He is present everywhere. He is the One who can rise and save all the meek of the earth. The “wrath of man” shall ultimately praise Him because He can cause the actions of men to fulfil His will eventually. He can cut off the spirit of princes who, having amassed great riches and power, use it to oppress the poor and powerless.

Surprisingly, man has become the greatest instrument he uses in oppressing his fellow man. Dictators free themselves and place all others in bondage. For years, tyrannical kings and emperors have presented a larger than life image of themselves and used their vast powers to crush anyone who tries to challenge their authority.

We should expect God’s justice system to prevail eventually. Believers should not take laws into their hands because vengeance belongs unto Him.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
Justice delayed is not justice denied.

THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:
Ezekiel 1-2

MEDITATION

ENJOYING THE VICTORIOUS POWER OF GOD

1. The partnership
“In Judah is God known: his name is great in Israel”, v1. The great power of God is more felt and manifested in the midst of God’s people. Always join them and be part of them. The battle of life is never fought and won alone. Remember fellowships and the coming crusade👏
2. The place
Specifically, it was in Zion and in Jerusalem they had the temple and the special presence of God, vv2,3,5. Even though God is everywhere, His presence and manifestations differ from place to place. The place where the presence of God is always mightily felt is where the arrows and all instrument of attacks against your life are destroyed. Make it a duty to always be present in God’s house at the time of the manifestation of His power👌
3. The praise
Daily victory is obtained on the platform of inner and verbal exaltation and praise of God above all challenges, v4. Loose yourself in constant praises of God. Never be intimidated✅
4. The power
Paralysis of the hands carrying weapons, inactivation of all weapons of war (chariot and horse), slumbering spirits are some of the attack strategies of God against your foes, vv5,6.

Ponder
What are some other strategies God used in the Bible to deal with the adversaries of His people?
5. The purity
The fear of God gives honour to God and the best way to do it is to flee from every form of iniquities, vv7,8. “Thou, even thou, art to be feared”.
6. The payment
“Vow and pay unto the LORD…bring presents unto Him”.
In order to continue enjoying the flow of power of God make sure you don’t owe God anything: praise, thanksgiving, presents, love to God and your neighbours or obedience to His will✅ Faithfulness to God always move His supernatural hands, vv11,12.
7. The paradox
“Surely the wrath of man shall praise thee: the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain”, v10. What does this mean to you?
So fight manfully onward 👏

PRAYER POINTS

1. Praise God for His invincible power that is always available for you🙏
Check any of the 7 points above where you need action and grace and pray about it🙏
2. Ask the Holy Spirit to always energise you to claim your daily victory and never to be intimidated🙏
3. Pray for the mighty presence and power manifestation of God at the coming crusade. Plead to be a partaker🙏
4. Lord, arise for me and turn all my battles to testimonies🙏

HYMN

THE SONG OF THE SOLDIER

1. Rise, ye children of salvation,
All who cleave to Christ the Head!
Wake, arise, O mighty nation,
Ere the foe on Zion tread;
He draws nigh and would defy
All the hosts of God Most High.

Refrain:
Saints and heroes long before us
Firmly on this ground have stood;
See their banners waving o’er us,
Conqu’rors through the Saviour’s blood.
Ground we hold, whereon of old,
Fought the faithful and the bold.

2. Fighting, we shall be victorious
By the blood of Christ our Lord;
On our foreheads, bright and glorious,
Shines the witness of His Word;
Spear and shield on battlefield,
His great name; we cannot yield.
Refrain:

3. When His servants stand before Him,
Each receiving his reward,
When His saints in light adore Him,
Giving glory to the Lord;
“Victory!” our song shall be,
Like the thunder of the sea.
Refrain:

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
