DCLM HIGHER EVERYDAY 12 NOVEMBER 2021 — Workers of Iniquity

DCLM Higher Everyday 12 November 2021 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Workers of Iniquity

TOPIC: WORKERS OF INIQUITY

TEXT: MATTHEW 7:21-23

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

MEMORY VERSE: “And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity” (MATTHEW 7:23).

MESSAGE:

A worker of iniquity can be a Christian youth that is working for God but is living in sin. He or she professes to be a child of God in the open but in the secret he or she is serving sin and Satan.

Workers of iniquity are those in the fellowship claiming to serve God but are full of deception or hypocrisy. They are those who operate commercial prayer houses, and could deceive unsuspecting believers.

The Lord Jesus expressly condemns the workers of iniquity in His vineyard in the reading text. In the fellowship of the saints, workers of iniquity can be among the ushers, choir, prayer warriors, teachers, and account officers. They are hypocrites.

Today, there are many so-called prophets using satanic power, magic and rehearsed miracles to deceive people in the name of Jesus. These are workers of iniquity.

Workers of iniquity are everywhere and could even be in the school fellowship. Are you living in secret sin as a worker in your school fellowship? All the workers of iniquity will be turned into hell on the last day.

QUOTE: They are hypocrites.

CHALLENGE:bAre you living in secret sin?

PRAYER: Make my service acceptable to You, Lord.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
