TOPIC: THE END-TIME MOCKERS
TEXT: 2 PETER 2:12-17
12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;
13 And shall receive the reward of unrighteousness, as they that count it pleasure to riot in the day time. Spots they are and blemishes, sporting themselves with their own deceivings while they feast with you;
14 Having eyes full of adultery, and that cannot cease from sin; beguiling unstable souls: an heart they have exercised with covetous practices; cursed children:
15 Which have forsaken the right way, and are gone astray, following the way of Balaam the son of Bosor, who loved the wages of unrighteousness;
16 But was rebuked for his iniquity: the dumb ass speaking with man’s voice forbad the madness of the prophet.
17 These are wells without water, clouds that are carried with a tempest; to whom the mist of darkness is reserved for ever.
MEMORY VERSE: “How that they told you there should be mockers in the last time, who should walk after their own ungodly lusts” (JUDE 1:18).
Opera news wrote about what happened to sinners that mocked God. Christine Hewitt, a Jamaican journalist and entertainer, said the Bible was the worst book ever written. Later, she was found burnt beyond recognition in her motor vehicle.
Billy Graham was led by the Spirit to preach to an actress, Marilyn Monroe, but she turned him down and said: “I don’t need your Jesus.” A week later, she was found dead in her apartment.There are many youths who mock ministers of God today because they preach sound doctrine. Such youths prefer preachers who do not preach against sins.
The Bible text declares the horrible judgment and destination of all unrepentant mockers, jesters and scorners of God’s Word. They will grope and groan in the pit of hell forever and ever.
Among them are the so-called gospel and pop singers that mock the Word of God with their songs. They include pastors, jesters and comedians who use the Word of God to joke and make fun.
Repent and receive the full gospel if you are mocking God’s Word

PRAYER: Lord, deliver me from end-time mockers.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
