NOTHING TO WORRY ABOUT

TEXT: JOHN 14:1-6

1 Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

2 In my Father’s house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.

4 And whither I go ye know, and the way ye know.

5 Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?

6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Key Verse: “Thomas saith unto him, Lord, we know not whither thou goest; and how can we know the way?”(John 14:5).

MESSAGE:

Thomas, one of the disciples of Jesus Christ, was confused and uncertain of what would happen to them in future. Many children are worried because of the uncertainties of life.

Many questions arise in their minds – Why are we in this world? How long are we to stay here? Where are we going after death? How and when shall we go to heaven?

The Bible is the only book that provides answers to all these questions. Those who have tried to answer these questions outside the Bible have ended up creating more confusion for themselves and others.

To the question “Why are we in the world?” Isaiah 43:21 tells us “This people have I formed for myself; they shall shew forth my praise.” We are created by God for Himself, to live for His glory in this world.

We should live our lives in obedience to the word of God and glorify His Name as long as we live in this world. When God’s purpose for our lives has been fulfilled, He will then take us to heaven to live forever with Him.

Jesus Christ promised to come and take all His faithful friends to heaven. He says, “…I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, lthere ye may be also”(John 14:3).What a wonderful promise of hope!

So, there is nothing to worry about. However, this hope is only for those who are born again and living a holy life. Are you born again?

Prayer: Lord Jesus, give me the grace to fulfill Your purpose for my life and make me ready for the rapture. Amen.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
