TOPIC: DON’T FORGET GOD’S UNFAILING PROMISES

TEXT: NUMBERS 23:15-21

15 And he said unto Balak, Stand here by thy burnt offering, while I meet the LORD yonder.

16 And the LORD met Balaam, and put a word in his mouth, and said, Go again unto Balak, and say thus.

17 And when he came to him, behold, he stood by his burnt offering, and the princes of Moab with him. And Balak said unto him, What hath the LORD spoken?

18 And he took up his parable, and said, Rise up, Balak, and hear; hearken unto me, thou son of Zippor:

19 God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

20 Behold, I have received commandment to bless: and he hath blessed; and I cannot reverse it.

21 He hath not beheld iniquity in Jacob, neither hath he seen perverseness in Israel: the LORD his God is with him, and the shout of a king is among them.

Key Verse: “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” (Numbers 23:19).

MESSAGE:

God’s promises are as sure as life. They cannot change or fail. They can never become outdated. Whatever God has promised will surely come to pass. God is not like man who promises and fails to fulfill his promises. He is God and He can do all things. He has power to save the sinner, heal the sick, set the captive free, deliver the oppressed and preserve us in the faith till we see Him face-to-face.

A sinner must key into God’s promises of salvation, repent of his sins, and accept Jesus as personal Lord and Saviour. This step will open the way for the repentant child to have access to God’s wonderful promises. To enjoy God’s promises to the fullest, you must be prayerful, read the Bible every day, meditate on its promises, believe them, and pray them into fulfilment in your life.

When it seems your prayers are not yet answered, remember His unfailing promises. When it seems fear wants to take over because of problems, claim His unfailing promises. When it seems you’re sad and worried, sing of His unfailing promises. When it seems you’re all alone and there is no one to help you, call on God, the unfailing Word. He’ll answer and show up just on time, He will bring peace to your soul and calm every raging storm.

Prayer: believe, yes Lord, I believe it is well with me.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
