TOPIC: FAITH ATTRACTS MIRACLES
TEXT: MATTHEW 9:27-31
28And when he was come into the house, the blind men came to him: and Jesus saith unto them, Believe ye that I am able to do this? They said unto him, Yea, Lord.
29Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you.
30And their eyes were opened; and Jesus straitly charged them, saying, See that no man know it.
31But they, when they were departed, spread abroad his fame in all that country.
MEMORY VERSE: “Then touched he their eyes, saying, According to your faith be it unto you” (MATTHEW 9:29).
MESSAGE:
Things may not be good with you right now, but faith will make the difference. A. W. Tozer said, “If only we believe hard enough, we’ll make it somehow.” The narrative in our text shows clearly, that faith in the unfailing word of God attracts miracles. The two blind men had heard that Jesus, the “Son of David,” was preaching, teaching and doing good, for His fame had gone into all the land. They followed Him in the street crying after Him for their healing. Jesus went into a house, still they followed Him. They were desperate in faith for healing – they “believed hard enough.”
When Jesus asked if they really believed that He could heal them, the response was positive. They said, “Yea, Lord.” Their faith attracted the needed miracle from Jesus who declared, “According to your faith be it unto you.” Like the blind men, you can attract your miracle. As a youth, believe the possibility of all things, through Christ. Indeed, by faith, you can receive miracles of salvation, healing, deliverance, academic success and fulfilment in other areas of life.
QUOTE: Believe the possibility of all things.
CHALLENGE: You can attract your miracle.
PRAYER: Holy Father, help me to exercise faith in you for my needs, in Jesus’ name.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
