TOPIC: FAITH CONFESSION: I AM HEALED
TEXT: ISAIAH 53:1-5.
1Who hath believed our report? and to whom is the arm of the LORD revealed?
2For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
MEMORY VERSE: “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (ISAIAH 53:5).
MESSAGE:
Joe, (not real name), was a university student in an African country. He was involved in a road traffic accident on his way home from school. Joe sustained injuries with multiple fractures of both limbs. His parents took him to a specialist hospital where he was treated. He recovered, but both limbs were deformed. For easy mobility, Joe used crutches. A Christian school mate invited him to a crusade on campus tagged, ‘You Are Healed, By the Power of God.’ Joe attended the crusade where he surrendered his life to Christ and also received his healing through faith confession. Abandoning his crutches, Joe excitedly shared his testimony of salvation and healing. You too can be healed through confession of faith.
Christ’s blood shed at the cross of Calvary for sin provides salvation and divine healing for those who believe in Him. Are you saved? If not, like Joe, do so today through confession of faith, and receive the power that saves, heals, and conquers all impossibilities. When afflicted, believe God, confess your faith, and surely, healing will be yours.
QUOTE: Believe in God, confess your faith, and you will be healed.
CHALLENGE: You too can be healed.
PRAYER FOR TODAY: Heal me, O God of my sicknesses, in Jesus’ name.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
