Topic: Faithfulness In All Seasons

Bible Reading: Psalm 119:89-93 (KJV)

89LAMED. For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.

90Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth.

91They continue this day according to thine ordinances: for all are thy servants.

92Unless thy law had been my delights, I should then have perished in mine affliction.

93I will never forget thy precepts: for with them thou hast quickened me.

MEMORY VERSE: “Thy faithfulness is unto all generations: thou hast established the earth, and it abideth (Psalm 119:90).

Message

God is faithful and demonstrates His faithfulness to humanity by allowing seasons and times to run their courses. That is why each season comes with its peculiarity. The rain, for instance, falls during rainy season to show God’s faithfulness in providing food for humanity. More specifically, we enjoy special privileges from His throne as believers because He is faithful to His promises to His children who are born again and have accepted Christ as Saviour.

God also expects us to be faithful like Him. Faithfulness is a virtue that is needed to make our loyalty to God genuine and reliable. It also gives us a sense of trust, confidence and certainty of what we believe in. Faithfulness gives others we relate with in school, local church assembly or community the belief that they can count on us as true believers in Christ. We should depend on His faithfulness to help us to achieve our goals without any form of doubt. However, a sinner can only benefit from the fullness of God’s blessings if he/she repents of sin and accepts Christ as personal Lord and Saviour.

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Lord, help me to appreciate your faithfulness in my life.

CHALLENGE

Depend on His faithfulness to achieve goals.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
