TOPIC: FEAR NOT, FOR IT SHALL NOT STAND
TEXT: ISAIAH 7:3-7
4And say unto him, Take heed, and be quiet; fear not, neither be fainthearted for the two tails of these smoking firebrands, for the fierce anger of Rezin with Syria, and of the son of Remaliah.
5Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
6Let us go up against Judah, and vex it, and let us make a breach therein for us, and set a king in the midst of it, even the son of Tabeal:
7Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass.
Key Verse: “Thus saith the Lord GOD, It shall not stand, neither shall it come to pass” (Isaiah 7:7).
MESSAGE:
The various happenings in the world today suggest that we are in the perilous (dangerous) times the Bible speaks about in 2 Timothy Chapter 3. The increase in evil happenings in the world is very disturbing and heartbreaking. Families are going through serious economic hardship.
The outbreak of diseases and infirmities added to high insecurity, are making people to fear. The outbreak of global pandemics (particularly COVID-19) has caused increase in job loss, setbacks in educational systems and economic problems in all nations of the world.

All these troubles have created fear, uncertainty and anxiety in the minds of the people. These world events have also shaken and threatened the faith of many believers. The same thing happened when God sent Prophet Isaiah to calm the people of Judah that the gang-up of enemies against them shall not stand.
Today, God has given assurance in His word that we shall overcome all troubles. Believers therefore must remain calm, pray and trust God for help in times of trouble and challenges of life. Always look up to Jesus and believe that only the counsel of the Lord shall come to pass in your life. It shall be well with you.
Prayer: My God and my Father, help me to be calm and look up to You in times of troubles.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
