Topic: Fix The Crack
Text: 2 Chronicles 33:12-17
12And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers,
14Now after this he built a wall without the city of David, on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, even to the entering in at the fish gate, and compassed about Ophel, and raised it up a very great height, and put captains of war in all the fenced cities of Judah.
15And he took away the strange gods, and the idol out of the house of the LORD, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the LORD, and in Jerusalem, and cast them out of the city.
16And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.
17Nevertheless the people did sacrifice still in the high places, yet unto the LORD their God only.
Key Verse: “And he repaired the altar of the LORD, and sacrificed thereon peace offerings and thank offerings, and commanded Judah to serve the LORD God of Israel.” 2 Chronicles 33:16
Message
A crack is a split, a break or snap that can be noticed on an egg, a wall or on moulded materials. It is a sign that something is about to go wrong with that structure. If this warning is left unattended to for a while, it can lead to the loss of an entire building. Our relationship with our friends, families and our creator is like a smooth wall where there is free flow of communication and everyone is happy. However, a break can occur due to our carelessness, selfishness or sin, this will affect the communication, love and affection that existed in our relationship. No matter how little the crack maybe, it must not be taken for granted. Take action immediately you discover the crack.

Manasseh in our text discovered the crack in his relationship with the Lord after he was afflicted. He realized his sinfulness and he returned to the Lord and the whole of Judah with him.
How is Christ with you? Examine yourself today and return to the Lord if you have backslided in anyway. Repair the altar like Manasseh and be restored back to the Lord. The Lord is waiting, fix the crack now.

Prayer for today: Dear Father, I am sorry for all my wrong doings towards you, my friends and my families. Please forgive me and restore me back to fellowship with you.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
