DCLM Sincere Milk 2 October 2026 — The Fruit Of Your Lips
DCLM Sincere Milk 2 October 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — The Fruit Of Your Lips
Topic: The Fruit Of Your Lips
Bible Reading: Hebrews 13:15-17 (KJV)
15By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.
16But to do good and to communicate forget not: for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.
17Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.
KEY VERSE: “By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.” Hebrew 13:15
Message
How do you feel when you eat sweet and nourishing fruits like mango, pineapple, apple and nuts? As fruit is pleasant to our taste, so does praise gladdens God’s heart. You are always delighted when you get some sweet fruits to eat. God is always glad when He hears the voices of His people singing His praise. It is recommended that you eat fruits regularly. It is commanded that we should praise and thank the Lord at all times.
Your lips are compared to a good tree that produces fruits to nourish mankind. Praise to God comes in many forms: singing songs, telling the story of His goodness to us, sharing the story of His salvation to bring others to Him, living a righteous life that honours His Name, obeying His servants who preach to us and by showing kindness to those in need. All these activities are fruits of a godly life that bring praise to the Lord and please Him.
Is your life full of praises to God? That is why He saved you. Make a prayer and promise to God, that from this moment, you will cause your life to be a source of praise and thanksgiving to Him.
Lord, bless me with a life that bears sweet fruits of praises to Your delight and glory.

Psalm 34:1-3
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
