Topic: Fully Persuaded

Text: Romans 4: 16-22

16Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all,

17(As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were.

18Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be.

19And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb:

20He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God;

21And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform.

22And therefore it was imputed to him for righteousness.

Key Verse: “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform” (Romans 4: 2021).

Message

God’s promises are sure and certain. He does not renege on His promises. Whatever He says will happen, will definitely be fulfilled. It takes faith and importunate prayer to actualise God’s promises that seem to delay. Delay is not denial. Ensure that what you are believing God for is in line with His will as documented in the Holy Bible. C.H. Spurgeon lucidly stated, “To believe that God will give us what he has never promised to give is mere dreaming. Faith without a promise revealed or implied is folly. Yea, though our trust should cry itself hoarse in prayer, it should be none the less a vain dotard if it had no word of God to warrant it.”

Always take God at His word. The Scripture has solution to every problem and challenge of life. Dig deep into the Bible to claim your breakthrough and fulfil your destiny. Abraham fully believed God and got the child of promise. You too can get what you want if you obey God and wait patiently for the appointed time. God is able to do all things.

Quote: God is able to do all things

Challenge: Take God at His word.

Prayer for today: Oh Lord, help me to believe Your Word.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
