Topic: God Cares For The Godly
Text: Psalm 103:1-5
1(A Psalm of David.) Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle’s.
Key Verse: “Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits” (Psalm 103:2).
Message
Today, we are examining a Psalm that explains all-round care for God’s people. The Psalmist here presents Him as a God of all benefits. He acknowledges God as our Saviour, our Healer, our Redeemer, our Provider, our Supplier, our Defender and our Revivalist. So sure, is the Psalmist of God’s abundant love and care for His creatures that he summons everything within him to bless Him. What a lesson for godly youths today!

It’s heartwarming to know that despite all our challenges Jehovah Jireh still provides and cares for us. We must learn to acknowledge the love of God and bless (praise) Him for them. In praising God we must acknowledge all the things He does for us: salvation of our souls, healing of our sicknesses, deliverance from satanic bondage and afflictions, academic success and so on, and testify before all men. Do you appreciate the care of God for your life? Remember that only true children of God have access to all these benefits we are talking about. You need to give your life to Christ to enjoy kingdom benefits.
Quote: Jehovah Jireh still provides and cares
Challenge: Do you appreciate the care of God for your life?
Prayer for today: Dear God, give me a heart that appreciates your care.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
