Topic: God Is My Salvation
Text — Isaiah 12:1-3
1And in that day thou shalt say, O LORD, I will praise thee: though thou wast angry with me, thine anger is turned away, and thou comfortedst me.
3Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation.
Key Verse: “Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid …” Isaiah 12:2a
Message
The word Salvation, as stated by an author, has three-fold meaning;
(i) Deliverance from the power and effects of sin.
(ii) Liberation from ignorance of deception.
(iii) Preservation from harm or failure: Deliverance from danger or difficulty. Nations, people, including children deserve salvation in one form or the other.
Everybody feels the danger around him or her. One would be happy to find someone who can deliver him or her from them all.

Rulers and armies of nations promise their people salvation or liberation but only ended up in providing very limited freedom for the people. Even parents cannot provide salvation for their children. However, our Bible passage shows that salvation comes only from God. This can be made possible when a sinful child realizes that he is a sinner, repents, turns from his bad ways and accepts Jesus Christ as his personal Saviour and Lord.
Are you saved from sins? Take the above steps to salvation and God in His mercy will save you from all harm.

Prayer for today: Lord, please save me from the power of sin and Satan.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
