DCLM Sincere Milk 17 April 2023 — God is worthy

DCLM Sincere Milk  17 April 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — God is worthy

TOPIC: GOD IS WORTHY

BIBLE TEXT: REVELATION 4:8-11

8And the four beasts had each of them six wings about him; and they were full of eyes within: and they rest not day and night, saying, Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come.

9And when those beasts give glory and honour and thanks to him that sat on the throne, who liveth for ever and ever,

10The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying,

11Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.

KEY VERSE: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive glory and honour and power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.” (REVELATION 4:11)

MESSAGE:

Worthy means merit or value of something or someone that is so precious that it should be treasured and taken care of. If someone is described as worthy, it means that person is important to the world and has done great things. A worthy person deserves our highest respect and honour.

In our Bible passage, Apostle John saw and heard heavenly beings saying “God is worthy to receive Glory and Honour and Power”. Not only should God receive these things: He has a right to them. God made everything we see and use. God made the oceans! He even gave us the knowledge to make the computer and other valuable things. He made us smart, God is just awesome! He deserves every bit of our worship and love for all He has done and is still doing for us. He deserves our very lives. The key verse is a worship song. Write it out neatly and create music notes for it. Then sing it joyfully as you worship the Worthy Lord.

PRAYER: You are worthy Lord; I will worship You forever. Amen.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
