TOPIC: GOD SEES AND KNOWS ABOUT IT

TEXT: EXODUS 3:3-9

3 And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt.

4 And when the LORD saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here am I.

5 And he said, Draw not nigh hither: put off thy shoes from off thy feet, for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground.

6 Moreover he said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.

7 And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows;

8 And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites.

9 Now therefore, behold, the cry of the children of Israel is come unto me: and I have also seen the oppression wherewith the Egyptians oppress them.

Key Verse: “And the LORD said, I have surely seen the affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their cry by reason of their taskmasters; for I know their sorrows” (Exodus 3:7).

MESSAGE

The children of Israel were God’s chosen people because of the covenant He made with Abraham their forefather. They were few in number when they moved to Egypt and settled there.

After many years of suffering under Egyptian bondage, they remembered the God of their fathers – Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. They cried unto God because of the great suffering and affliction they were experiencing in Egypt. Perhaps, they thought God was not aware of what they were passing through.

God, Who is Almighty, Omnipresent and Omniscient, knows and sees everything that is happening to His children. He is aware of the suffering of His people. He hears the cry of those who are troubled and oppressed.

God does not sleep or slumber. He watches over His own and knows even the thoughts of our hearts. When we call or cry because of troubles, God is aware and He will help us at the right time. He is never late. What He demands from us is that we cry unto Him to show that we are dependent on Him in all things.

Therefore, in times of trouble, children of God must cry out to Him in prayers. He will mercifully intervene on our behalf.

Prayer: Lord, help me to trust and depend on You in times of trouble.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
