TOPIC: GOD WORKING THIS FOR MY GOOD

BIBLE TEXT: ROMANS 8:26-32

26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

27 And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God.

28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

30 Moreover whom he did predestinate, them he also called: and whom he called, them he also justified: and whom he justified, them he also glorified.

31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?

MEMORY VERSE: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose” (ROMANS 8:28).

MESSAGE:

Speaking on ‘It is working for my good’, Debra Aiken opined, “It is all working for my good makes no sense to the man or woman that may currently be suffering for whatever reason right now, but God’s Word declares that all that happens in our life is for a greater purpose that will eventually work on behalf of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. The caveat here is that all things work for good to only those who love the Lord, and are called according to His purpose. This is encouraging to Christian youths experiencing challenges.

Dear friend, are you experiencing health, financial or academic challenges? Don’t give up. God is allowing them for your own good. Remain faithful to God, trust Him and His promises. You will triumph over your trials and they will work for your good. Joseph, Daniel and Apostle Paul passed through myriads of trials and afflictions that turned out to work for their good. You will not be an exception if you remain steadfast in your faith.

QUOTE: Your trials will work for your good.

CHALLENGE: Remain steadfast during trials.

PRAYER: Help me Lord, to remain faithful to You amidst trials.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
