DCLM Sincere Milk 6 September 2022 — He knows your works
DCLM Sincere Milk 6 September 2022 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — He knows your works
TOPIC: HE KNOWS YOUR WORKS
TEXT: REVELATION 3:13-15
13He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches.
14And unto the angel of the church of the Laodiceans write; These things saith the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation of God;
15I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Key Verse: “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot” (Revelation 3:15).
MESSAGE:
Our works show what we think, say and do within a given time. Every child is busy, even in his or her idle moments, doing something. Sometimes, we try to hide our thoughts and actions from others. This is because we feel they will not be happy with us if they know some of our conducts.
At another time we try to impress others by pretending to be good though we are bad and ungodly. But there is someone who knows our works and the true motive behind all our activities, He is God.

Jesus is God, He created heaven and earth. The thickest darkness cannot hide anything from Him. He knows all that we do, our wrong and good works are all known to Him.
Jesus spoke to warn the members of the church at Laodicea. They were not loving Jesus sincerely again. They did not see anything wrong with their actions. They did not know Jesus knew the condition of their hearts and actions.
Jesus knows all your actions. Do you still love and obey Him like you did before? You can repent today and show love to Him through your obedience to His word.
Prayer: Lord, I repent and pledge my love to You.
Further Reading: Revelation 3:1
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
