DCLM Higher Everyday 18 July 2025 — He Loves You Too
DCLM Higher Everyday 18 July 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — He Loves You Too
Topic: He Loves You Too
Text: Mark 10: 13-16
13And they brought young children to him, that he should touch them: and his disciples rebuked those that brought them.
15Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
16And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them.
Key Verse: “And he took them up in his arms, put his hands upon them, and blessed them” (Mark 10:16).
Message
The love of Christ for mankind is demonstrated through His willingness to act in our best interest, especially in meeting our greatest needs. It was that love that made Him willingly leave His throne in heaven to become a man and pay the penalty for our sin so that we would not have to pay for it for all eternity in the lake of fire, even though we were the least worthy of such love.

In our text today, we see Christ’s immeasurable love for children, whose lifestyle He prescribes as the pathway into the kingdom of God for all and sundry. As a young person, Christ also wants you to “receive the kingdom of God as a little child.” If He loved those most unworthy of His love, and willingly took the punishment of those who rebelled, mocked, betrayed, tortured, hated, and crucified Him to pay the penalty for our sin, then He loves you, too. See yourself as most deserving of His love and don’t let the cares of this life continue to stand in the way of your salvation.
Quote: He loved those most unworthy of His love
Challenge: He extended His love to those most unworthy.
Prayer for today: Oh Lord, thank You for loving me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
