Key verse: “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.” Genesis 18:19
MESSAGE:
Children need to cooperate with their parents in the process of their training. The way to do this is to pay close attention to godly counsel and instructions. God has given your parents as gifts to successfully train you, that it may be well with you and so that you can live long. Do not let them fail in this. Also, the Lord has a good and great reason for bringing you to the world.Your parents may not know the full detail, but righteousness and obedience to God’s word will help guide your steps and life to the perfect plan of God.
In addition, some parents have personal covenants promises and blessing which God wants to pass on to their children after them. But for the children to enjoy these blessing’s in reality, they must themselves personally keep the ways of the Lord, do justice and judgment.
God said of Abraham, “For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the LORD, to do justice and judgment; that the LORD may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.”(Genesis 18:19) The counsel of the word of God to you is that you diligently hearken and obey your parents/guardians’ godly counsel and training. It shall be well with you.

Prayer: Lord, please help me to faithfully cooperate with my parents as they train me.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
