Topic: Holy Spirit, My Friend
Text: John 16:12-16
12I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now.
14He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
15All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.
16A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
Key Verse: “All things that the Father hath are mine: therefore said I, that he shall take of mine, and shall shew it unto you.” John 16:15
Message
God is good and loving. He desires a sweet and friendly relationship with us just like He had with Abraham. The Holy Spirit was sent to us after the departure of Jesus. It is our duty to build up relationship with Him. The Holy Spirit is a gentle Spirit and does not come when He is not invited, does not strive so much with man. This is why we must be so intentional in building up a relationship with Him.

Knowing the Holy Spirit takes time and this is the reason we should always give Him time. The Holy Spirit can communicate to us like we do to our friend and can reveal so many things to us that we need to know but do not know. The Holy Spirit is a true friend that never betrays and He is there to guide us on our path to Heaven. The best friend to have is the Holy Spirit because He is the one Who will comfort us and guide us into all truths. You must desire Him today and pray fervently to be filled with the power of the Holy Ghost.

Prayer for today: Holy Spirit of God, please reveal yourself to me and come and be my friend In Jesus’ Name.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
