TEXT: EXODUS 15:26

26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Key Verse: “And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee” (Exodus 15:26).

MESSAGE:

The World Health Organization (WHO) said health is more than the absence of diseases in the body. Therefore, health is a state of complete well-being that goes beyond the curing of an illness to one of achieving wellness.

To achieve this, it requires the balancing of various factors that constitute the whole body. This includes physical, emotional, mental and spiritual factors. This happens when the mind, body and spirit are in unity and harmony. Nobody on earth can do this for you. It is only God, through the healing covenant in Christ Jesus, that can cause you to have a healthy life.

Our Bible passage calls us to diligently obey the voice of the Lord, do that which is right in His sight, and keep His commandments. This is the basic condition in the healing covenant. God always keeps His covenant with those who believe and obey Him. God has promised healing and health to all those who obey and keep His word. He is a faithful God, and His promises cannot fail.

However, as children of God, we have our parts to play in order to be healthy always. One, eat good food and avoid junks. Two, keep away from things that can cause sickness; for example, mosquito bites and dirty environments. Three, wash yourself and clothes regularly. Four, keep away from drugs, especially if it is not prescribed by qualified medical personnel. Five, trust God and pray for your healing and health.
Even when you have not received an answer, do not panic. Continue to pray in faith, the Lord will surely heal and keep you healthy.

Prayer: Gracious Father, heal and keep me healthy for the rest of my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
