MESSAGE:
In our text for today, Isaac faced the l challenge of famine where he lived in Gerar. Because of the famine, he planned to move to Egypt but God appeared to him and instructed him not to go there, but to remain where he was. The Lord promised him again that in spite of the famine in the land, Canaan land was where He had appointed for him. Things may sometimes go wrong around you, in your school, nation all over the world; do not be afraid nor take decisions in a hurry. Wait on the Lord. Trust in Him and He will direct you and your family members on what to do.
As we can see from the experience of l Isaac and other saints of God, the reason for confidence in times of troubles are: (i) The promised presence of the Lord, and (ii) His assured blessings in spite of troubles. This was what God promised Isaac as he remained in the Lord’s will even when there was famine in the land. His promises never fail even in famine, pestilence, sicknesses and any life problem. His presence is greater than all our challenges. Do not exchange His presence for anything. He is consistent and watches over His own.
Prayer: Lord, please help me to always rely on your presence I promise you this no matter the challenges.

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
