DCLM Sincere Milk 17 December 2023 — In All Weather – Preach

DCLM Sincere Milk  17 December 2023 Devotional by Pastor W. F. KumuyiIn All Weather – Preach

Topic: In All Weather – Preach

Text: 2 Timothy 4:1-5

1I charge thee therefore before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, who shall judge the quick and the dead at his appearing and his kingdom;

2Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.

3For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;

4And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

5But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry.

Key Verse: “Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 2 Timothy 4:2

Message

Everyone certainly likes to hear good news. Goodnews brings joy to our hearts, it strengthens the weak and the discouraged and it brings hope alive. An elderly man who had been bedridden for months – rose up from his bed, walked around and fed himself when he heard the good news of the birth of his first grandson.

The gospel is the greatest good news because:
⁃ It brings freedom from sin; the greatest human problem.
⁃ It brings deliverance to the oppressed.
⁃ It brings healing for the sick.
⁃ It brings solution to all problems and challenges of man.

Have you experienced the blessings of the gospel? If you have not, now is the best time to receive the good news that God gave His only Son to die for our sins and whosoever believes in Him shall be saved. If you have received the good news, go everywhere today and joyfully proclaim the good news that Christ came to set the sinners free. The good news matches all weather; preach to someone today.

Prayer for today: Dear Lord, help me to joyfully proclaim Christ today.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
