TOPIC: KEEP HOLDING ON

TEXT: PSALM 27:1-6

1 (A Psalm of David.) The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

2 When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

3 Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

4 One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

5 For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

6 And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

Key Verse: “For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock” (Psalm 27:5).

MESSAGE

Every season in life comes with its own ups and downs, troubles, trials and temptations. What should a believer do at such a time? The following poetic words should serve as comfort to help you keep on holding on to Christ “Keep holding on when it seems your strength is going down. Keep holding on when your trials are getting stronger. Keep holding on when the weight is getting heavier.
Keep holding on when the battle is getting tougher.Keep holding on when the road seems uncertain. Keep holding on with a brave heart. Keep holding on with a strong heart.Keep holding on with a righteous heart and pure mind. Keep holding on with a believing heart.
Keep holding on with a hopeful heart that your Saviour will show up right on time.”

Reading and meditating on Bible promises will encourage your faith. Therefore, no matter what happens or will ever happen, know for a surety that your God, the living God that you’re serving, will come and save you at the right time.

Prayer: Lord, I put my hands in Your hand, hold me till the end.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
