TOPIC: LIVING FOR CHRIST

BIBLE TEXT: ROMANS 14:7-9

7 For none of us liveth to himself, and no man dieth to himself.

8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s.

9 For to this end Christ both died, and rose, and revived, that he might be Lord both of the dead and living.

KEY VERSE: “For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; and whether we die, we die unto the Lord: whether we live therefore, or die, we are the Lord’s” (Romans 14:8).

MESSAGE

A life without Christ is a life of crisis. The world is full of troubles and challenges, only those who have been saved through the blood of Jesus can overcome. Christian boys and girls must make up their minds to live for Jesus every day and every time. The desire to eat, dress, get good education or achieve good things of life must not make us to neglect the word of God. The Bible is our life’s constitution graciously given to guide us in the way we ought to live and please God.

The foundation or starting point of living for Christ is salvation through repentance. You cannot live for Christ if you do not have a personal relationship with Him. When man lost fellowship with God through disobedience, He sent Jesus Christ to die and shed His blood on the cross at Calvary.

Through the sacrifice of Jesus, we are redeemed and reconciled to God. Therefore, if you are a sinner, you must repent and accept Jesus as your Saviour and Lord. Then surrender your life, time and talents for the glory of God. Also, make a pledge to live for Christ both day and night. Be faithful, be brave and true. Lead the lost to life and light and let others see Jesus in you.

PRAYER: Lord, help me to live for You every day of my life.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
