DCLM Sincere Milk  16 May 2026 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi —Make Your Faith Personal

Topic: Make Your Faith Personal

Bible Reading: John 3:14-16 (KJV)

14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

KEY VERSE: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16

Message

God’s love for mankind made Him send Jesus Christ, His only begotten Son to die for our sins. The sin of Adam and Eve sold man out to Satan. He lost the place that God his Creator prepared for him. This is what has made all human beings become slaves to Satan. The only way out from the camp of the devil is through Jesus Christ. That is why Jesus declared that, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” (John 14:6)

God gave Jesus to the whole world but His gift must be personalized if you want to benefit from it. Make your faith in Christ personal. Let it not be in your head only but in your heart. Accept that Jesus came to the world to die for your sins and He wants to take you to heaven at last. Do not continue to follow the crowd of those who only recite John 3:16. Believe, accept and invite Jesus Christ into your life as your personal Saviour and Lord. Salvation is a personal experience, do not miss it!

PRAYER FOR TODAY

Father, I accept Jesus as my personal Saviour.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
