DCLM Higher Everyday 19 May 2026 — More Than Conquerors
Topic: More Than Conquerors
Bible Reading: Romans 8:35-37 (KJV)
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
37Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
KEY VERSE: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us” (Romans 8:37).
Message
Similarly, life throws challenges at us in the form of peer pressure, failure, rejection, bereavement, sickness, disappointment, financial difficulty, persecution, etc. Sometimes, it even feels like the world is against us, and God is not coming quickly as our present help in trouble. Dear friend, remember that nothing can separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. As believers, life struggles can make us feel weak or discouraged, but God’s love remains constant. Like Adrianne’s determination to dance again, we must hold on to our faith, knowing that no challenge we go through can separate us from Christ. His love gives us strength to rise above adversities to keep moving forward. No matter what you face, stand firm. God’s love makes you more than a conqueror.
PRAYER FOR TODAY
Oh Lord, make me more than a conqueror at all times. Amen.
CHALLENGE
Remain in the love of God always.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
