DCLM Higher Everyday 1 May 2025 Devotional by Pastor W. F. Kumuyi — Partner God In Projects
Topic: Partner God In Projects
Text: Proverbs 16:2-3
2All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
3Commit thy works unto the LORD, and thy thoughts shall be established.
Key Verse: “Commit thy works unto the LORD and thy thoughts shall be established” (Proverbs 16:3).
Message
Partnering is an act of persons working together for the purpose of achieving common goals. In partnership two or more people agree to pursue the same goals and objectives. Expressing a clear understanding of partnering with God in projects, Apostle Paul unequivocally stated that believers are “labourers together with God” (1Corinthians 3:9). On the basis of our text, “All the ways of the man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits” (Proverbs 16:2). This means that human beings may consider their own lifestyles, plans, proposals, and relationships as right, but God knows the best.

Partnering with God in projects will surely remove all imperfections and drive the work to the desired goal. Hence when God called Bezaleel and his partners to build the tabernacle and produce other objects, He empowered them and the work was completed perfectly (Exodus 31:1-11; 39:42-43). In order to ensure that your holy desires, including education, career, and Church ministry are excellently achieved, you must walk and work with God. This is possible through prayer, meditation and studying God’s Word. Happy Workers Day to our parents!
Quote: God knows the best
Challenge: Hard workers deserve good pay.
Prayer for today: Help me, oh God – without You I can do nothing.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
