DCLM Sincere Milk 9 DECEMBER 2021 — Pornography Forbidden

TOPIC: PORNOGRAPHY FORBIDDEN!

BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 9:20-29

KEY VERSE: “And Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without” (Genesis 9:22).

MESSAGE

In the Holy Bible, the story of Noah came up before the call of Abraham. This shows that Noah lived before the laws of Moses were given. He had three children – Shem, Ham and Japheth. God used Noah to save his family from the flood because he was righteous. However, after the flood, the Bible records that “…Ham, (one of his children) the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brethren without” (Genesis 9:22). This was an abomination before God. When his father woke up from sleep, he placed a curse on Ham and his generation. This story clearly shows us that God does not want us to look at the naked bodies of other people.

Read Avoid bad Company

In the world today, there is this unclean act of “pornography”. It is a common practice among the young and old. In some families, parents allow their young children to come into their rooms to see their nakedness while they are dressing up – some also allow their grown-up children see freely one another’s nakedness. These are very wrong.

Some children indulge in looking at naked pictures of men and women in books, magazines, on the internet, on their smart phones, etc. Many are already addicted to these evil practices. Reject pornography, it is forbidden by God. If you have been involved in any abominable act of any form, repent now and surrender your life to Jesus.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, I turn away from every evil practice and surrender my life to You.

GOSPEL REALM: STEPS TO SALVATION
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
