TEXT: Luke 24:49-53 (KJV)
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.
50 And he led them out as far as to Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.
51 And it came to pass, while he blessed them, he was parted from them, and carried up into heaven.
52 And they worshipped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy:
53 And were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.
KEY VERSE: “And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” (Luke 24:49).
DCLM Daily Manna For Today MESSAGE:
Jean Caron, according to Wikipedia, is one of the strongest men on earth. He competed ten times in the World’s Strongest Man competition between 2008 and 2020 reaching the final eight times. In 2016, he successfully flipped a 610 kg tire four times to set a new world record and the same year, he broke the Guinness Book of World Records by turning over a Volkswagen thirteen times within five minutes in China. While Caron is being celebrated as the strongest, believers must recognise the awesome power bestowed upon them by the Holy Ghost.

After His resurrection, Jesus reminded His disciples of the messages He had taught them. He promised to send them the Holy Spirit but they must first wait in Jerusalem to receive the power. Thereafter, He led them out of town, blessed them and ascended to heaven. In obedience to the directive of the Master, the disciples returned to Jerusalem and waited in prayers for the Holy Ghost power, which eventually came upon them on the day of Pentecost.
Jesus demonstrated a lot of spiritual power while on earth. With the power of the Holy Spirit, He healed the sick, raised the dead, cast out demons, turned water to wine and fed thousands of people with just few loaves and fishes, etc. The miracles drew the attention of many people who thereafter turned from sin to righteousness.
The power of the Holy Ghost is available today. If you are a sanctified believer, ask for it in prayer of faith. He will give you what He promised. Only then will you begin to do exploits.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
You need the Holy Ghost for God-glorifying exploits.
THE BIBLE IN ONE YEAR:

1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
