1Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.
2Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.
3Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp.
4Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.
5Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.
6Let every thing that hath breath praise the LORD. Praise ye the LORD.
Key Verse: “Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power” (Psalm 150:1).
Message
The excellency of God is aroused through passionate praises, and He reacts by doing wonders. Herod the tetrarch, an earthly leader, was aroused to the point that he gave opportunity to his daughter for an open request of whatsoever she desired. This was because she thrilled him and his audience with her dance. Her desire was granted despite how tough it was. If an earthly leader could do such, how much more the King of Kings when aroused by the passionate praises of His children.
A young boy had an accident that got his leg fractured and was billed to be operated on. Dreams and aspirations seemed in jeopardy! His siblings and parents resorted to passionate prayer and praise . On the D-day of surgery, the surgeon examined the current X-ray, and discovered the miraculous coming together of the bones and cancelled the surgery. The young boy is walking perfectly and bouncing today! Friends, there is no limit to what God can do through passionate praises. God is still in the business of doing wonders if we really render sincere praises to Him.
Quote: Render sincere praises to Him
Challenge: Oh that youth would praise the Lord!
Prayer for today: Lord, create in me a passionate heart of praise.
1. Admit that you are a sinner. "For all [humans] have sinned, and comes short of the glory of God....[and] the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord" (Romans 3:23)
2. Repent now. "Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out ...[for] if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness " (Acts 3:19, 1 John 1:9)
3. Believe that God loves you and Jesus died for you. "God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet Sinners, Christ died for us" (Romans 5:8)
4. Invite Jesus into your life through prayer of faith. Jesus says, "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me" (Revelation 3:20)
